Planning your website – getting an idea of what is involved

You realize that you need a website, but you have no idea what you really want, what is involved and which aspects to consider.

iCreations made a list of questions that you can answer to get a better idea of what is involved in a website and which aspects to consider:

  1. Do you already have a domain? if not, you will need to register one - do you want a .co.za domain or .com domain or .org domain etc?
  2. How many pages do you want in your website? i.e Home, About us, Products and Services, Gallery, Contact us etc.
  3. Do you want any flash designs? Sample of flash designs can be seen on our website's homepage - www.icreations.co.za - the gallery rotating in a circle is a flash design. Please note that we do not suggest full Flash designs as home pages, as these sites can not be optimized for search engines. Flash elements are fine, but full flash websites are not recommended
  4. Would you like to be able to update some of the pages yourself? Which pages? and how many?
  5. Would you like to sell products online in a safe and secure manner?
  6. You will need a hosting company to host your website. See iCreation's hosting packages

Happy website planning!
